Jobs in Quaid-E-Azam Library, Lahore

Quaid-e-Azam Library located inside the picturesque Bagh-e-Jinnah (Old Lawrence Garden), Lahore is the largest research and reference library in Pakistan. The library requires the services of a Chief Librarian (BS- 19) temporarily for a period of three years. The appointment is likely to be made permanent subject to excellence in performance on the conclusion of the contract period.


Chief Librarian Required 

The Candidate must have: • excellent leadership I management skills and experience in higher professional education;
• ability to create excellent academic environment for the library members;
a strong commitment to develop and maintain a research and reference library; and
• capability to plan and execute development works in tandem with routine operations and management of the library.

Academic Qualification & Experience:
i) . Ph. D in Library Science with 5 years service as a Librarian BS-18 or above;
ii) . M. Phil in Library Science with 8 years service as a Librarian in BS-17 or above;
iii) . Master Degree in Library Science (1st Division) with 12 years service as a Librarian in BS-17 or above.

Age Limit: 40-62 years
The upper age limit may be relaxed in case of candidates serving in Quaid-e-Azam Library and other libraries under the Directorate of Public Libraries if they apply through proper channel.
