Establishment of Anti Snake Venom / Anti Rabies Serology Laboratory in Sindh at Shaheed Benazirabad

Applications are invited from the interested candidates for the following posts of Project “Establishment of Anti Snake Venom / Anti Rabies Serology Laboratory in Sindh" at Shaheed Benazirabad. The project is hi-technology project aimed at transferring modern technology for production of life saving sera and other biological products for the public sector health care facilities. The project is funded by GoS Health Department

Name of Post

1. Deputy Project Director

Age limit Academic Qualification, Experience, Special Ability:

MBBS or post-graduate degree in Public Health Sciences, 10 years experience of project management especially of vaccine production or use, working with international collaborating agencies will be preferred. Special abilities of working with communities, NGOs, Govt. Departments, high skill of interpersonal communication, report writing, mass education and training. Knowledge about local snakes and snake bite problem in Sindh is essential.

2. Laboratory Technologists

Age limit Academic Qualification, Experience, Special Ability:

Age limit 35 years, flexible in case of suitable candidate. M.Sc. or equivalent, M.Phil towards PhD candidates will be preferred. Local inhabitants of Shaheed Benazirabad will be provided additional age over others. 03 years of lab work of Biological Sciences is mandatory. Working with Serology or Microbiology, or Biochemistry labs will be preferred. Special abilities of practicing bio-safety protocol and scientific handling of snake venom, experience of operating manual and computer assisted ELIZA, column Chromatography, Gel electrophoresis and protein fractionating machines would be essential.

3. Accounts Officer

Age limit Academic Qualification, Experience, Special Ability:

Age limit 35 years, flexible in case of suitable candidate. Masters in Economics, CA, or foreign qualified Bachelors of Economics, Accounts, or other finance related subjects. Experienced local residents of Shaheed Benazirabad or surrounding districts especially woman candidates will be preferred even in case of less education. 05 years working experience as Accounts Officer or on accounts related desk of BPS-16 or equivalent is essential. Working with the government projects or knowing district treasury office correspondence will be appreciated. Special abilities of preparing bills, maintaining cash books and other financial record, ability to conduct internal audit and preparing periodical financial budget and audit reports for project management committee is essential.

4. Computer Operator

Age limit Academic Qualification, Experience, Special Ability:

Age limit 35 years, flexible in case of suitable candidates. Bachelors or higher degree in Computer Sciences. Experienced local residents of Shaheed Benazirabad or surrounding districts will be preferred. 03 years work experience as Computer Operator is essential. Must be fluent in MS Office Operations including Word, Excel, Power Point. Any experience or ability of hardware OM, Software designing or computer language ability will be preferred. Should be able and efficient in software problem shooting.

5. Store Keeper

Age limit Academic Qualification, Experience, Special Ability:

Age limit 35 years. Bachelors or higher degree, 03 years work experience as Store Keeper of medical commodities especially of vaccine and sera. Experienced local residents of Shaheed Benazirabad or surrounding districts will be preferred. Knowing to store and handle safely protein articles of human consumption, snake venom and other hazardous biological agents is essential. Special ability to operate and maintain a computer assisted store keeping software will be appreciated.

6. Laboratory Attendants

Age limit Academic Qualification, Experience, Special Ability:

Age limit 35 years. Diploma or certificate of short course in laboratory work is essential. Experienced local residents of Shaheed Benazirabad or surrounding districts will be preferred even if having qualification or job experience certificate of private institution. 02 years work experience is essential.

7. Snake House Attendants

Age limit Academic Qualification, Experience, Special Ability:

No age limit, only physical fitness to handle deadly snakes is essential. No educational limit, however, local experienced, educated and skilled candidates will be prioritized as first choice. Must know distinctly various venomous and non-venomous snakes of Sindh and can name their local identity. The candidate has to demonstrate before the committee to capture, hold and milk a cobra.

8. Skilled Labor for Horses

Age limit Academic Qualification, Experience, Special Ability:

Age limit 45 years. No educational limit, however, educated and qualified skilled workers will be preferred. Must be able to demonstrate some of the common horse care techniques, and skillful horse riding before the committee. Should describe the locally available common fodder for horses, locally endemic diseases of horses, and seasonal protection techniques to keep the horses healthy.

9. Skilled Labor for Sheep

Age limit Academic Qualification, Experience, Special Ability:

Age limit 45 years. No educational limit, however, educated and qualified skilled workers will be preferred. Must be able to describe various types of goat and sheep in Sindh, their eating habits, common diseases, and precautions to keep them safe and healthy.

10. Sanitary Worker

Age limit Academic Qualification, Experience, Special Ability:

Age limit 30 years. No educational limit. Must be a professional sanitary worker preferably a non-Muslim.
